A study of wood’s lamp findings in melasma

Introduction: Melasma is main cause of facial hyperchromia and has a significant psychosocial impact. Wood’s lamp been useful device to estimate the depth melanin determined by light-induced fluorescence. A dermoscope enables clear visualization pigments distribution, color variation will depend on its location within skin. Methods: cross-sectional observational study was conducted at outpatient section Department Dermatology tertiary care teaching hospital. total 120 patients were enrolled for duration 1 year. Patients diagnosed have melasma clinical grounds after considering various inclusion exclusion criteria.
